Lower Fuel Surcharges to Ease Airfare and Cargo Rates for May 16-31

Ticket prices and shipping costs are set to decrease as the government lowered the allowable fuel surcharges that airlines may charge for the period May 16 to 31. This represents a significant reduction from the higher fees that travelers and businesses have faced in recent months.

For local flights, the extra fuel fee will now range from P491 to P1,436, while international trips will range from P1,621 to P12,056 depending on the destination. For cargo shipments, the additional fuel cost is reduced as well, starting at just P2.52 per kilo for local deliveries.
